What does 45- day guarantee on services mean?

45-day warranty on our services means that in case you are not satisfied with our services and ask for a refund in the first 45 days from activation (no reason given) we shall fully refund the amount paid.

Reimbursement does not include domain registration and purchase of SSL certificate, because those services can not be canceled once they are activated, but they can be used elsewhere without any issues.

Do you sell or give access to my data to a third party?

No! Nextcloud and ownCloud both offer a totally private and secure home for your data!

Webo.cloud will never sell or disclose any of your data stored in your Nextcloud or ownCloud account with a third party!

Is my data secure with webo.cloud?

Yes your data is safe and secure.

For the added safety of your data, we routinely perform full daily backups on a separate server in a safe remote location.

Our servers are hosted in the SO 27001 certified data center in EU with advance DDoS protection. 

Where in EU are your servers located?

The majority of our servers are located in datacenters in Germany. One in Nuremberg, the other in Falkenstein.

The rest are located in Finland’s capital – Helsinki.

Payments

Why do you need my personal information to order?

Our Revenue Service and international tax laws obligate us to do so.

We store this information only as long as it’s required by these laws and remove it as soon as we’re allowed. Our intent is to complete any and all transactions in compliance with the law. We also want to know who we are doing business with in order to build a relationship based on trust.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods:

How to manage my web hosting?

Your web hosting can be controlled via a web interface to which you get access, after we receive your payment of the invoice. You can manage FTP access, database, database users, mailboxes, the size of the mailboxes, aliases …

What control panel do you use?

To manage you web hosting you will be using the Plesk control panel.

What versions of PHP and MySQL do you use?

All our servers are regularly updated and maintained. PHP versions 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0,7.1,7.2,7.3, 7.4, 8.0 and MySQL 5.6, 5.7

Can I create free Let's encrypt certificate?

Yes absolutely! We would even recommend that you create an SSL certificate for all of your websites.

Do you create backups on hosting plans?

Yes. We are doing daily backups of websites, databases and emails during the night period.

Can I transfer my website and domain to you from other provider and how?

Your website and domain can easily be transferred to us.
If you don’t know what exactly needs to be transferred, we can do it for you without any additional charges.
We can transfer domain, website files, database(s) and mail to our servers.

When you order services, just mark that you wish to transfer and someone will get in touch with you.

Domains

What is a domain name?

By definition, a domain name is simply a human-readable form of an IP address. In function, it is the destination that you type into a web browser in order to visit a website, such a www.google.com. In the process of the domain name registration, you lease a domain name for a specified period of time. During this time you are the “owner” of the domain and you can use it for your own needs. In the meantime, this domain can not be used or registered by anyone else, because each domain is unique and can not be repeated.

How to register a domain?

Enter the desired domain name in the order form and click on “Check Domain”. If the domain you entered is not yet registered, the wizard will notify you and you will be able to proceed with registration. Once you have completed the process, you will get an invoice in a few minutes to your e-mail address. Once invoice is paid, your domain will be registered.

In the case when the wizard reports that the domain is already registered, this domain can not be registered and you will need to find another domain name.

How does domain transfer work?

After an order for a domain transfer is completed you will receive an invoice. Domain transfer actually starts after the invoice is paid and then we will ask for EPP or authorization code, which allows us to start the transfer. Before the transfer starts you should also make sure, that domain is not locked (Registrar Lock), otherwise, the transfer is not possible. You have to be aware that domain transfer can take up to 5 days after the start.

Once the transfer starts you will receive an e-mail (to the admin contact for the domain) in which you will be able to confirm the transfer.

When the transfer process is completed you will be notified by e-mail.

Can I use my custom domain name for my email?

Absolutely. You can have as many email account on your domain as your web hosting package allows.

Should I buy multiple extensions for the same domain?

Yes. Registering a domain extension reserves it so that no one else can use it.

Domain WHOIS Privacy protection

The WHOIS Privacy protection service keeps your contact information private for a domain. This service replaces the public information that you provide with an anonymous proxy identity in the public WHOIS database.

You can purchase the WHOIS Privacy protection for any of your domains at any time, as long as the domain is registered with us and the TLD supports the WHOIS Privacy service.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, absolutely! You can use an existing domain or register a new domain to use with our website builder.

Do you offer free sub-domain for the website builder?

Yes! You can use a free sub-domain webo.page. Example: yourname.webo.page

How long can I use the free website builder?

You can use it for 1 year period. After that you will need to upgrade to a paid package or buy a domain.

Can I import my existing website to the Webo Website Builder?

Yes you can import almost any website to our website builder! Just login to your builder and use the “import” option, fill in the website URL and it’s done.

Is there a watermark on my website?

Yes, there is a Webo.hosting logo in the footer of you website but only in the free plan. There is no logo or branding on the paid accounts.

Nextcloud and ownCloud

I am relatively new to this ``cloud`` thing, but I would love to try it out! Which plan do you recommend?

Nextcloud Free, Subscribe, Single or even Single Secure are perfect options for an inexperienced user who wants to try out Nextcloud.

 

All  are set up and ready to use and explore immediately. No extra steps necessary.

What apps are available to me under the Nextcloud Free account?

Apps available on our Nextcloud Free accounts are: Files, Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Tasks, Gallery, TOTP, Notes, Collabora Online and OnlyOffice document editors.

What is the difference between the Free account and the Subscribe option?

The main difference between the two is in the amount of available apps.

 

Nextcloud Subscribe has access to basically the same apps as the Nextcloud Single plan has. For more details on which apps are those, check out our Nextcloud Single page.

And how about the difference between Subscribe and Single plans?

The answer here is also very simple – It’s all about the disk space.

 

Nextcloud Single allows you to get all the space you might ever need, or wish for… Nextcloud Subscribe doesn’t.

I'm interested in using encryption on my account. Which plans support end-to-end or server-side encryption, or both?

Nextcloud Admin and Single Secure plans both offer the option to use encryption.

 

With the Nextcloud Single Secure plan the server-side encryption already comes with the plan, and you also have the option to enable/disable E2E whenever you’d like or need.

On the other hand the Nextcloud Admin plan allows for more customization in regards to the server-side encryption (you can choose to enable it during the order process at no extra costs), while the option to enable/disable E2E at any time remains the same as in Single Secure.

I am stuck between Nextcloud Single Secure and Nextcloud Admin plans. Which should I choose?

The Nextcloud Single Secure plan is perfect for a more demanding single user, who wishes to up the security on their own, private account, but has no interest (or knowledge) on managing it.

 

Nextcloud Admin on the other hand offers the ability to add additional users to your account, as well as manage their accounts in whichever way you choose. That includes installing any available app and also setting up permissions on which user can use which app/file etc…

I already have an Nextcloud Single account and now I would like to upgrade it to the Nextcloud Single Secure plan. Why can't the upgrade be performed directly on my existing account?

The Nextcloud Single Secure and Nextcloud Single plans are located on different servers. This is manly because the Nextcloud Single Secure has server-side encryption already enabled.

 

Don’t worry that doesn’t mean your existing account, along with your data is marooned forever. It just means a direct upgrade is not possible.

What is possible is to transfer the data from your existing account to the new one manually, or simply setting up your new Nextcloud Single Secure account to sync your data from the same folder.

Can I use (register) my own domain for my Nextcloud account?

Yes. Nextcloud Admin plans allows you to register a new domain, transfer your own domain from another registrar or use your existing domain.

I would like to use my own, private domain, but I am completely new to this. What are my options?

The fastest and easiest way to get your own, private domain is to register with our subdomain through the order form (choosing the last option for webo.family). We’ll handle setting up your DNS records, as well as the SSL certificate for free.

 

However if you wish to register completely new domain and setting up DNS records sounds like rocket science to you, don’t worry. You’ll receive an email with all the details on how to do it.

And if somehow you still manage to get lost during the process… don’t hesitate to contact us! Our friendly support will step right in and help you find your way again.

Do you sell or give access to my data to third party?

No! Nextcloud is a totally private and secure home for your data! We will never sell or disclose any of your data stored in your Nextcloud with the third party!

VPS

What is a VPS?

VPS or Virtual Private Server is a virtual server that runs on a powerful server. It is managed the same way as a real server because it has all of the devices a real server has, the only difference is that it uses only a portion of the capacity of the real server. This does not mean that the VPS servers are not powerful. Depending on the plan, each VPS server has a certain amount of CPU time, memory, and hard drive that can be used.

Why and when to choose VPS?

You can choose the VPS in case the classic web hosting doesn’t satisfy your needs or demands. VPS can be used for bigger portals and applications.

A major advantage of the VPS is the option to manage it however you like, without any restrictions.

Can I choose operating system on VPS?

Yes! You can choose from:

Is my VPS safe and secure?

Yes your server is safe and secure. For the added safety of your data, we routinely perform full daily backups of your VPS to a safe remote location. We offer servers hosted in the SO 27001 certified data center in EU with advance DDoS protection.

Is a management panel available?

You can control your VPS from your Client Area, where you can also access your statistical data and resource usage.

What does Pre-installed and Optimized stand for?

Webo.hosting installs Odoo, ERPNext, Alfresco, Magento or other out-of-the box software and optimizes it for speed. We do this by optimizing the OS layer for the installed software. It is important to understand that Webo.hosting doesn’t touch the code of the software itself. We always install out-of-the-box versions.

Are backups included with Odoo VPS packages?

Yes. By default we create daily backups during the nighttime, when the traffic and loads are at the lowest point. All backups are kept on a separate location from the other servers.

We can make backups more often, per your request, however this option comes with additional costs.

Can Webo.hosting help me with the customization on the VPS?

We can help you with the customization of the VPS, however this service comes at additional cost. If you are interested and want to know the rates please, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Do I get full server root access?

Yes, you will get the full administrator access to server.

Do I get SSH access to the server?

Yes. You will get a direct SSH access to the server and web GUI for server commands (reboot, shutdown…).

 

That means you can manage your server and server level configuration by yourself. If you need help, check out our Managed offer.

Does my Nextcloud/ownCloud Admin VPS automatically include regular backups?

Yes. Nextcloud/ownCloud Admin VPS does include daily backups.

If yes, how often is my Nextcloud/ownCloud Admin VPS backed up?

Backups are done once per day and are kept by our default backup policy: last 7 days, 4 weekly backups, 3 monthly backups.

If I were to need to restore my VPS from a backup, what would I do?

For a restore, please contact us. Usually clients only need something small to be restored and this can not be done by client.

If I change the SSH access for my VPS, so that only my SSH key is valid, would that prevent backups from being made?

You can change SSH keys as this represents no issue regarding backups – these are made by hypervisor regardless of its settings and content.
